stop it!

I can’t stop crying
I’ve been screaming,
stop it! stop it!
but no one is listening
or no one is hearing,
stop it! stop it!
I’m told I have a voice
but it doesn’t feel so,
stop it! stop it!
see, nothing, nothing
nothing changes, shifts,
stop it! stop it!
see, again, nothing
what use this poem,
stop it! stop it!
ordinary people
looking just like me
stop it! stop it!
carrying what’s left
of their shattered lives,
stop it! stop it!
carrying lives in bags
looking just like mine,
stop it! stop it!
wearing clothes
looking just like mine,
stop it! stop it!
you know that could be me
you know that could be you,
stop it! stop it!
I can’t stop crying
I’ve been screaming,
stop it! stop it!
for fuck’s sake! children,
mothers, young and old,
stop it! stop it!
dislocated, traumatised,
look into their eyes,
stop it! stop it!
what use are these words
while other’s homes burn.

  1. on his cuff never is forever not enough
the same his shame me his dad
    and the power of two
    me and you
    together and apart
    how ever the start
was better than the current present situation of that i can assure you!~
